Sick Policy

It is the policy of this daycare facility to maintain good health care practices. Parental cooperation is necessary in keeping health records up to date. ANY time your child is absent due to an illness or communicable disease , WE REQUEST THAT YOU CONTACT THE DAYCARE A.S.A.P. WE MUST OBSERVE ALL THE CHILDREN FOR SYMPTOMS IF THEY HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO YOUR CHILD’S ILLNESS.

No child can be accepted into the daycare if (s)he appears ill upon arrival. Your child will not be able to attend daycare if they have a fever, unidentified rash, vomiting or diarrhea. You are still responsible for payment on for scheduled days.

Should your child become ill while in our care, it is our policy to contact you immediately.  Please make sure the phone numbers on file are current.  You must pick up your child if a high fever or a suspected contagious illness has been observed by our staff. Your child’s proper care is our primary concern.

Regretfully, we are not licensed to infirm an ill child. Since we are held responsible for all of our children in care, we request your cooperation in helping us prevent the spread of illness to the children, as well as our staff members. We understand about the many employers that penalize employees when the employee is suddenly called away from the work place. If you are one of these employees, we suggest that you provide the name, address, and phone number of an alternate person that you have designated and we may contact for your child’s well being.

If your child needs to be administered medication while in care, we have staff trained to administer medication. Forms must be filled out prior to administering medication.

Health/ Medical Physical

A medical physical is required, each child must have a full physical and show up to date immunization records to attend. This form is your responsibility to update as needed.

We encourage good hygiene at our daycare. Children three and older brush their teeth daily; tooth brushes and toothpaste are provided by the center and replaced as needed. Your child’s bedding is washed weekly for your convenience as well.

We provide 2 snacks per day.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner should be provided daily by the parent in a lunch box with an ice pack.

Open door policy we have an open door policy, feel free to visit and observe but remember we are here for the children.

Finally, we look forward to caring for your child. We know there are a lot of policies but if we all follow them, we will have healthy, happy, children and staff.
